Referrals and Fees
Referrals: Please note that due to high demand currently no new psychiatry referrals are taken. This will be reviewed in June 2025.
- We accept referrals from GP's for psychiatric consultations. It is important to have a referral from a GP to have a good understanding of the medical background and to determine the most appropriate treatment.
- Please ask you referrer to fax the referral letter (this will be received as an secure e-fax/email)
- A copy of the initial psychiatric report and follow up assessments will go to the referrer (in most cases your GP). Please notify us if you do not want specific sensitive information in this report.
- For psychotherapy GP referrals are preferred but self-referrals are also accepted.
- If the referral is outside our area of expertise, we will help find the most suitable organisation or professional to provide care.
- Referrals from ACC are managed directly by ACC.
